This past weekend, Hitch and I ventured off to London for a weekend away. We stayed with two lovely friends, and ate all of the food that we physically could. I’ve come to realize that there are many things I enjoy about visiting new places, but my favourite part of traveling is eating . And drinking a little wine too :) Here are a few snaps from the weekend.
| tower bridge |
| view across the river |
| our first stop –
borough market
. amazing meat pie with mash and gravy. |
| which was followed up with spicy stew and sangria. |
| ted’s veg! had to take a picture because that’s my dad’s name. |
| the next day we visited
maltby street market
. it was my favourite part of the whole trip. |
| priority one – (awesome) coffee. |
| random market pic. |
| smoked salmon. |
| tiny tacos. |
| oyster bar. |
| maple bacon brownie. |
| all that food was followed up with some craft beer. |
| we went to a few different breweries, but my favourite was
Brew by Numbers
. |
| so many tunnels. |
| that evening, after some amazing curry, we went to the
East London Liquor Company
– a really awesome distillery and bar, with some serious cocktails. |
| you can actually see the distillery behind the bar. really cool spot. |
| the “barely legal”. a cocktail full of passion-fruit-goodness. |
On our third day, we toured around to see some of London’s major attractions… after all, we had to do more than just eat :)
| the london eye. |
| big ben. |
| westminster abbey. |
| an awesome goose. |
| china town at night. |
| and finally, a beautiful view on the train ride back home. |
We such a wonderful weekend – a HUGE thank you to our friends Norah and Rob for hosting us, and showing us all the best places in London. xo
