Although I usually like my coffee pretty plain (just milk), there’s something lovely about an occasional dessert coffee. And I’m basically all about anything with Nutella in it! Hitchen and I had these Nutella lattes as a little dessert after our brunch on Sunday – yum! Here’s my recipe.
INGREDIENTS
makes 2 lattes
150 mL whipping cream
heaping spoonful Nutella
1/4 cup + 1 cup whole milk
2 ounces espresso
caramel sauce (would be a great place to use the
homemade variety
, but sadly, I hadn’t made any)
chocolate sprinkles
DIRECTIONS
Whip the cream and set aside. For a small amount like this, I find it easiest to put the cream in a jar and shake it until whipped.
In a small saucepan or metal jug, combine the Nutella and 1/4 cup of milk. Heat until steaming and all the Nutella has melted.
Add the remaining cup of milk to the Nutella milk, and steam until very hot.
Meanwhile, add a shot of espresso to two mugs.
Split the steamed milk between the two cups, and top with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and sprinkles!
Delicious :)
