It’s been a pretty sad weekend in the Drover-Hitchen-Underhay house. Our little kitty, Loretta, has been pretty sick for some time. There have been numerous vet visits and hospital stays, but we couldn’t figure out exactly why she was so sick. But yesterday, we finally got a diagnosis – FIP (feline infectious peritonitis), which is incurable and ultimately fatal. For now, we will bring her home and keep her as comfortable as possible (she isn’t in pain), but she likely only has a few weeks left with us. I’m fully and completely heart broken, but also so happy to have had the chance to adopt her and love her for these past two years.

Love you, sweet kitty.
