I recently decided that our coffee table could use a little sprucing up… but being a 20€ Ikea table (seriously, I don’t know how we ever would have furnished our apartment without Ikea), I didn’t want to spend too much money on it.

Rudolph + Polka Dot Christmas Nails
My lovely friend Bobbie was nice enough to let me paint her nails yesterday! This Christmas design with polka dots and little Rudolph faces turned out to be super cute :)
Abstract Floral Nail Art
After several days of completely bare nails (rare for me), I finally got around to painting some fun nail art – abstract florals! The flowers were relatively simple to paint, and I’m super happy with the result.
(My Favorite) Carrot Cake
September 14, 2015 | Sweet Recipes | Permalink
I’ve always been a pretty big fan of carrot cake (or at least the cream cheese icing). So while visiting Newfoundland earlier this month, I decided to make one to have on the evening of my parent’s wedding anniversary (which is also Amber dog’s birthday!). I made this cake without a recipe…
Simple Geometric Wall Art
In an effort to add a little colour to our space, I decided to paint some bright canvases for a particularly blank wall in our living room. I’ve always been drawn to geometric shapes and clean lines (plus I’m not exactly a painter!), so I decided to have a little fun with some masking tape.

The inspiration for the ginger and basil combo came from a drink my mom and I had during the July 4th event at the American Ambassador’s residence (with the […]
DIY Leather Camera Strap
This is a little project that I’ve wanted to do for a really long time… however, up until recently, my husband and I shared our DSLR camera, and I guess he didn’t think a peach coloured leather camera strap was I cool as I did (pffftttt!). However, being the awesome photographer that he is, he […]
(Real!) Flower Nail Art
While at Sephora last week searching for some hair products, I stumbled upon this super cute nail art kit from Ciaté… and it was on sale! It came with a pink polish (‘candy floss’), a quick-drying top coat, tiny nail file, tweezers, and (the best part) tiny dried flowers. Needless to say, I bought it, […]
